    Each year, New College offers a number of equity-based scholarships and bursaries to support students with specific needs or disabilities.

    • The standard contract period is for approximately 44 weeks, covering the full academic term from the start of O’Week to the end of the official examination period at the end of Term Three
    • The the institution is able to offer student accommodation to a selected number of residents who will study at UNSW for single term periods or other different periods subject to approval by the Dean.
    • The University is a 100% vaccinated student and staff community. Rare exceptions will only be considered for students who have a documented medical exemption.

    To be eligible for the UNSW New College Living Scholarship for International Students, applicants are expected to meet the following requirements:

    • Applicants must be international students
    • Applicants must be enrolled in a full-time academic program
    • Applicants must have an offer of admission to the University
    • Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent
    • Applicants enrolled in any of the following courses:
    • artistic design
    • Arts & Social Sciences
    • Structured environment
    • Business School
    • engineering
    • law
    • medicine
    • science

    Application Procedures

    How to apply: To participate in the UNSW New College Living Scholarship, applicants must apply using the online application portal.

    Create a portal account. Select the term and community you wish to apply for. The app will then ask you a few questions and ask you to submit a photo and some references.

    Complete the successful residency application at New College, including an interview with the Dean of Residents.
