University of Sydney Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship Program 2022

Applications are invited from interested and outstanding international students for the University of Sydney Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship Programme. These opportunities are available for college student and masters applicants.

VCIS is a scholarship offered at the start of a degree course (a course is only awarded once in the first year of start and cannot be renewed for subsequent years).

DETAILS | Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships

The Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships are awarded to outstanding international students. The scholarship is open to all entering international students enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate full-time degree.

A scholarship for outstanding international students is worth Up to $40,000 in scholarship to support high-achieving international students to study at the University of Sydney.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for the University of Sydney Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship Program, applicants are expected to meet the following requirements:

  • Applicants are international students
  • have applied for but not yet started a degree or postgraduate course which is a registered CRICOS award program normally delivered onshore at the University of Sydney
  • Applicants must receive an unconditional offer of admission by the relevant closing date.
  • Applicants earning a second degree at the University of Sydney are eligible, provided they have not previously held the Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships.
  • Recipients of scholarships provided by the Australian Government are not eligible.

Scholarship benefits

All successful applicants for the University of Sydney Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship Program will receive the following benefits: Four scholarship amounts are offered based on your ranking against the selection criteria:

  • $40,000 payable over one year in two equal semi-annual installments
  • $20,000 payable over one semester
  • $10,000 payable for one semester
  • $5,000 payable for one semester

Application Procedures

How to apply: No application is required, all eligible students who have secured an unconditional offer of admission by the following dates will automatically be considered.
