    General International Undergraduate Scholarships includes scholarship opportunities based on admission and application, and see what may be available to you:

    • International Distinction President’s Scholarship: Senior entering students
      average and proven leadership entering the first year of an undergraduate degree on a Student Visa Permit could receive up to $120,000 CAD (payable over 4 years).
    • May Quon Undergraduate Scholarship: Students with a superior admission average and declared financial need, entering the first year of an undergraduate degree on a Student Visa Permit, who are Chinese or Hong Kong citizens, could receive up to $100,000 (payable over 4 years ).
    • International Leader Scholarship: Well-rounded leaders with superiors
      Academics can receive up to $10,000 CAD.
    • International Admission Scholarship: Top students could receive up to
      $5,000 CAD, depending on admission average.
    • Regional Excellence Scholarship: Top students from certain regions could receive up to $5,000 CAD, based on admission average.
    • Gold Standard Scholarship: The top 5% of students at each school could receive up to $6,000, depending on their admission average.

    Eligibility criteria

    To be eligible for the University of Alberta International Entrance Scholarships, applicants are expected to meet the following requirements:

    • Applicants must be international students
    • Applicants must be an undergraduate student
    • Applicants must be prepared to enroll in a full-time program of study
    • Your eligibility will be based on your high school GPA at the time of your offer of admission.

    • Focus on your greatest achievements. Pick your top achievements or experiences you’re most proud of and focus on them in your application.     • Answers should be careful and well developed. Your application should highlight who you are and what you like.
    • Give specific examples of experiences that show reflection and growth within your experience or in your life in general.
    • Think about what makes you stand out from other scholarship applicants. Describe experiences or accomplishments that demonstrate your impact.
    • Be creative, show your passion and put things in your own words. A well-crafted, unique app will allow you to stand out
