The Canon Collins Trust in association with the Tom Queba Memorial Fund invites applications for scholarships for postgraduates and PhD at a partner South African university for the 2022/23 academic session.

The Scholarship will provide funding for up to two years and an opportunity to enhance academic and leadership skills through organized events. Successful scholars demonstrate the potential to drive change towards just and equitable civil societies.

Tom Queba Scholarships 2022 | Eligibility criteria

To be considered for the 2022 Scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • be a black South African national, ordinarily resident in South Africa
  • have a good first degree (minimum second class, upper division or equivalent) or be about to graduate in the year of application
  • study or apply to study at master’s or doctoral level at a South African university.

How to apply: Interested applicants for the Tom Queba Scholarships must complete one online application on or before the application deadline, as a late or incomplete application will not be accepted.
