ELIGIBILITY | Technical University of Munich Scholarships 2023-2024
The target group is regular international students who register for a study program at TUM:
- Students who are not eligible for BAföG due to their nationality (see §8 BAföG)
- From the 3rd semester in their degree
- From the 2nd semester in their postgraduate studies (or from the 1st semester in their postgraduate studies,
if the degree has been completed at TUM) - Submission of bachelor’s or master’s thesis no earlier than June 30 (summer semester)
and December 31 (winter semester) - English Language Requirements: Applicants from outside their country of origin, and especially those from non-English speaking countries, will often need to meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.
Application Procedures
How to apply: All applicants for the Technical University of Munich scholarships to study in Germany are expected to have received permission at the university and was duly enrolled as a student of the faculty. Upon acceptance, all freshman applicants are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships, so no separate applications or interviews are required.

- TUM degree report,
- two recommendations,
- Proof of income of the applicant,
- Proof of income of parents or proof of income of spouse if applicable
