The program aims to develop participants into committed leaders with knowledge and skills to promote the industrial and socio-economic development of Senegal and Africa. It also aims to provide participants with training in non-technical areas and a full package of support services.

Gaston Berger University of Saint-Louis (UGB) informs new graduates that the application deadline for the Mastercard Foundation Scholarship Program at UGB, originally set for October 04, 2022, has been postponed to October 31, 2022. It is recalled that the submission of physical files is mandatory for all candidates, Senegalese and foreigners.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for the Mastercard Foundation-UGB Scholarship Program, applicants are expected to meet the following requirements:

  • Applicants of African descent
  • Candidates must have interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be from a disadvantaged family, a person with a disability or a refugee/foreigner and be able to prove it.
  • Demonstrate leadership and entrepreneurial skills (as evidenced by positions of responsibility held during their academic career or by participation in extracurricular associations or by developing personal experiences;
  • Not be a recipient of any other scholarship program in any capacity.
  • Show good academic performance.
