Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program 2022/23 | Eligibility criteria

To be considered for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Cambridge, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a citizen of an African country and demonstrate that they come from an economically marginalized or economically disadvantaged background.
  • You must be ordinarily resident in an African country, unless you can demonstrate a temporary absence for study/work with the intention of returning, or unless you have been displaced.
  • You must apply for a one-year postgraduate program at the University of Cambridge.
  • Prospective fellows can apply in a wide range of disciplines.
