The Academic Mobility Program in Africa has been established under the Pan-African Program (Development Cooperation Instrument) and builds on the experience of the Intra-ACP Academic Mobility Scheme.

DETAILS | Intra-Africa Mobility Scholarship
The aim of the program is to improve the skills and abilities of students and staff through enhanced mobility between African countries. The specific objective is to implement postgraduate, doctoral level and staff mobility through a robust Postgraduate Research and Study Program (GRSP) in Food, Energy and Water Security (FEWS) with a range of academic programs offered at partner institutions.
Eligibility criteria
To be eligible for an Intra-African Mobility Scholarship, applicants are expected to meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must be from Africa
- Nationals and/or residents of African countries who are staff, graduates and/or students enrolled in one of the Partner Universities at the time of application or have obtained a degree from one of the Partner Universities.
- The program is available for postgraduate research and study.

Scholarship benefits
Successful applicants for the Intra-African Mobility Scholarship will receive the following benefits:
Travel and visa costs:
- One (1) return air ticket depending on travel zones
- Mobility-related visa costs
Monthly allowance
- Postgraduate: £600 and
- PhD: £900
One month’s equivalent allowance
- One additional month allowance for female candidates Insurance costs (medical, travel, accident)
- £75 maximum per month
