Harvard Academy Scholars Program 2022/2023, Applications Open

The Harvard Academy Fellows Program of Harvard University is open to all recent PhDs and PhD candidates in the social sciences. Academy Scholars have a chance full sponsorship and annual stipend $75,000 including other benefits.

The Academy Scholars Program Identifies and supports outstanding early-career scholars whose work combines disciplinary excellence in the social sciences with knowledge of the language and history or culture of countries or regions outside the United States or Canada.

Harvard Academy Scholars Program 2022-2023 | Eligibility criteria

Applications are welcome from qualified individuals regardless of nationality, gender or race. Additionally;

  • It is open only to recent recipients of a PhD (or comparable professional degree) and PhD candidates in the social sciences.
  • Those still pursuing a PhD must have completed their regular training and be good at writing their theses before applying to become an Academy Fellow.
  • If you have completed a PhD programme, the PhD completion date must be within two years of the start date of 1 August 2023.

Program benefits

  • Fellows of the Postdoctoral Academy will receive an annual stipend of Rs $75,000.
  • The scholarship is supplemented by funding for conferences and research travel, research assistantships and health insurance coverage.

Application Procedures

How to apply: Those interested can proceed to online application. All application materials must be submitted by the deadline September 23. Late applications will not be accepted. The completed application will include:

  • Cover letter summarizing the applicant’s academic field, country or area of ​​expertise and proposed research topic
  • Curriculum vitae (CV) or curriculum vitae. including the list of publications
  • Research proposal (maximum 2500 words). including intellectual goals and planned methodological and disciplinary work
  • A copy of your PhD program
  • Three letters of recommendation (uploaded through the online application)

Letters should be addressed to “Selection committee.” Letters of recommendation must be sent by the deadline.
