Postgraduate admissions are now open to University of Cambridge for interested students wishing to enroll and have the opportunity to earn the fully funded Gates Cambridge Scholarship for courses starting next academic year.
To qualify for the Gates Cambridge Scholarship, you must complete the section to apply for a course and a position at the College and the Gates Cambridge Department of Finance. Gates Cambridge has full access to the application form and funding for the application process.
How to apply
Candidates must complete a combined application. Applicants apply for admission and funding (Cambridge Gates and other funding) through the University Graduate Application Portal.
The introduction section:
In this section you are applying for a specific postgraduate program and a position at the College. You will provide all the usual details about yourself, your academic background, plans and your suitability for the proposed course.
The finance department:
In this section, you can apply for a range of funding offered by the University and its affiliates, including the Gates Cambridge Scholarship, which has its own subsection.
When applying for a Gates Cambridge Scholarship, you will be asked to provide the following:
- Statement: In the application form we ask: “In no more than 3,000 characters (approximately 500 words) explain why you are applying for a Gates Cambridge Scholarship and how you meet the four key criteria. Full details on how to apply, including selection criteria and instructions for completing this application, can be found at: gatescambridge.org”
- Research proposal: Gates Cambridge demands Doctoral candidates only submit a research proposal as part of their application for funding.
- Gates Cambridge Report: In addition to two academic reports for admission, Gates Cambridge applicants submit a report on their eligibility for the scholarship.
