Chinese Government Bilateral Scholarship Program 2023 | DETAILS

The Bilateral Program supports undergraduates, postgraduates, general scholars and senior scholars. It includes full or partial scholarship supported by MOE in accordance with educational exchange agreements or consents between the Chinese government and the governments of other countries, institutions, universities or international organizations.

Application Procedures

How to apply: Interested candidates should follow the below steps to apply.

  • 1. Candidate will learn about designated Chinese universities and the majors they offer by visiting websites ( or other means, and specify the preferred scholarship program, designated university, and major
  • 2. Candidate must reach the designated university for admission documents. For Wuhan University Pre-Admission Letter application details, please visit the admission gate;
  • 3. The applicant goes to an application receiving service for a recommendation.
  • 4. The applicant will complete and submit the Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form online through the Chinese Government Scholarship Information System (;
  • 5. The application receiving organization submits the list of proposed candidates and their application documents.
  • 6. CSC will organize designated universities and experts to review the eligibility and academic performance of the candidates before finalizing the list of candidates.
  • 7. CSC will communicate the acceptance results to the application receiving service who will then inform the applicant.
