The University of Adelaide is pleased to offer Adelaide Scholarships for Refugees & Humanitarian Undergraduate Scholarships to international students who wish to enroll in a study program at the University for academic sessions 2023/2024.

The Adelaide Refugee & Humanitarian Undergraduate Scholarships have been established in recognition of the financial difficulties faced by students from refugee backgrounds and will support these students to fulfill their ambition to study at the University of Adelaide.

Adelaide Refugee & Humanitarian Scholarship | DETAILS

The Adelaide Refugee and Humanitarian Undergraduate Scholarships provide 100% tuition fees and a Student Services & Benefits Scholarship (SSAF) for students commencing undergraduate programs in Semester 1 2022 who have not previously undertaken university studies in Australia.

Applicants who have not met all the requirements outlined in their Letter of Offer by the Scholarship Application closing date will not be considered for the Scholarship. Applicants who need to take an IELTS test or other English language test acceptable to the University are encouraged to book a test as soon as possible.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for the Adelaide Refugee and Humanities Undergraduate Scholarship, applicants are expected to meet the following requirements:

  • Applicants must be domestic or international students
  • Applicants must be admitted to an undergraduate Bachelor’s degree program commencing in Semester 1, 2023 (ie hold a Letter of Offer and meet any academic and English proficiency requirements outlined in that Letter of Offer). and
  • Applicants must hold a Bridging Visa E (BVE) or Temporary Protection Visa (subclass 785) or Safe Haven Business Visa (SHEV). and
  • Applicants must be able to provide evidence of their financial ability to support themselves through the study.
  • If required, applicants will be ranked by academic achievement and preference will be given to residents of South Australia.
  • The scholarship must be taken in the year in which it is offered. acceptance of the scholarship offer cannot be deferred. If a student declines the scholarship offer, the scholarship will be offered to the next eligible student.
  • Applicants can only apply for this scholarship once they have received an Offer Letter from the University of Adelaide and have met any academic and English proficiency requirements outlined in that Offer Letter.
